It is an innovative digital tool, powered by the Chagas Coalition, DNDi, and the World Heart Federation (WHF), that enables precise monitoring of access to healthcare for people affected by Chagas disease.

Available in Spanish, Portuguese, and English, this platform collects real data from seven countries (Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Guatemala, Paraguay, United Kingdom (London), and Switzerland (Geneva)), including figures on individuals screened, diagnosed, and treated, as well as information on drug distribution, rapid test usage, and patient associations.

The Chagas Observatory complements global estimates with concrete, updated data, fostering dialogue between health systems and civil society to drive more coordinated and person-centered responses.

This dynamic tool allows for monitoring actions, incorporating systematic updates that make it possible to detect changes and establish comparisons between countries and areas of expertise. In summary, it represents a fundamental step towards clear and open control, and towards joint actions that are effective in improving care, funding, and public policies surrounding this neglected tropical disease.
